The DC Chapter of the International Network of Boutique Law Firms (INBLF) hosted the organization’s 11th annual black tie weekend in October. Arnie is the DC chapter president, as well as treasurer and a board member of the national organization, and we took a lead role in the organization of the weekend. The highlight was a black tie dinner, attended by 185 persons, at the U.S. Supreme Court, hosted by Justice Samuel Alito. Justice Alito made welcoming remarks at the pre-dinner cocktail hour in the historic reception rooms, and Kenneth Feinberg, “Master of Disaster,” was the featured speaker at the dinner. On the following Tuesday, Arnie moved the admission of a group of INBLF lawyers to the bar of the Supreme Court before the justices prior to oral arguments that day. The weekend also included a cocktail party at House of Sweden, followed by a tour of the monuments by night. The business meetings included a session on hot topics in Washington, organized by DC member and criminal lawyer Joe diGenova and featuring Ron Kessler, expert on the Secret Service and author of the recently-published First Family Detail.
